Operation method of LED strip screen control software
Using LED strip screen control software is a crucial step to ensure the normal display and operation of the LED display screen. Here are the detailed steps:
1. Screen parameter settings
Connecting devices:
When using the LED control card for the first time, please use the "LED strip screen control software" to set it up through an RS232 cross-over serial cable.
If you are using a laptop, please use a USB to 232 converter cable.
Find display screen:
After the software is run, it will automatically "search for display screen".
If automatic search fails multiple times, please check whether the serial port cable is a "crossover cable", and ensure that it is properly plugged in and the control card is functioning properly.
Note: It is strictly prohibited to plug in the serial port cable when the power is on. Please turn off the power before plugging in the cable.
Set password and screen parameters:
The password for the control card is usually "168".
After the display screen parameters are set correctly, the screen will display "No information currently available".
According to the specific type of LED display screen (such as an outdoor P16 screen with a 12-pin interface), set the corresponding parameters, such as data polarity, OE polarity, scanning mode, etc.
II. Program editing and management
Add program:
After setting the screen parameters on the display screen, you can directly click the toolbar icon to add programs.
Program type:
Subtitled program: In a program featuring a Rich Text Format (RTF) file, the RTF hypertext allows for the setting of font, size, and color for each character, and maintains a separate hypertext file for the program. It supports all languages supported by the Windows system, with each text being able to be individually set for color, size, and font.
Time-based program: Digital real-time clock, offering a variety of commonly used modes to choose from.
Countdown program: The maximum time is 9999 days.
Image-based programs: Supports various image formats such as BMP and JPEG.
Table display: Supports the display of electronic spreadsheets.
Animation program: Supports playback of animations in formats such as GIF.
Temperature and humidity display: Supports the display of temperature and humidity functions (requires corresponding sensors).
Text program: Supports inputting multiple fonts such as Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English.
III. Sending programs
When all the added programs have been edited, click the "Send All" button.
After successful transmission, the display screen can display the program.
IV. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with the LED display, such as incomplete display or no display at all, you can first try to detect which part is faulty.
Check the connection of the serial port cable, the working status of the control card, and whether the power supply is normal.
If the problem remains unresolved, it is best to contact the manufacturer's technical personnel for assistance in resolving it as soon as possible, so that the display screen can resume normal operation.
