When choosing and purchasing outdoor LED advertising screens, the following aspects should be given priority:
1. Resolution: Outdoor environments are characterized by strong light and long viewing distances, requiring advertising screens with high resolution to ensure clear display. Traditional LCD monitors typically have a resolution of 1024×768, while outdoor LED advertising screens need a resolution of at least 1920×1200 to ensure proper display even under sunlight and to guarantee that viewers at a distance can clearly see image details.
2. Protective Performance:
Waterproof and dustproof: The outdoor environment is complex, requiring advertising screens to have excellent waterproof and dustproof capabilities. The casing should generally have a waterproof rating of IPX5, allowing normal operation in heavy rain; and a dustproof rating of IP65, equipped with a dedicated dustproof structure and dust filter to prevent dust from reducing equipment efficiency and accelerating aging.
Explosion-proof and anti-theft: For use in public outdoor locations, public safety and equipment safety must be considered. Special tempered laminated glass should be used, so even if broken, it will only produce fine, spiderweb-like cracks, with the fragments firmly adhered to the interlayer, preventing personal injury or property damage from falling glass. Meanwhile, to prevent screws from being exposed, anti-theft locks and robust structural supports are used to address theft issues.
Lightning Protection: To achieve all-weather outdoor display, the advertising screen must have a reliable lightning protection electrical control design to provide safety during thunderstorms and prevent damage from lightning strikes.
Anti-reflection: Outdoor light reflection can affect the display effect. Specially coated glass is required to improve the viewing angle and resolution, reduce screen reflection, and ensure clear visibility under various lighting conditions.
Electromagnetic Interference Protection: The outdoor environment is uncontrollable, and electromagnetic interference may affect the normal operation of the advertising screen. Shielding measures are used for the internal electrical components to prevent interference from internal components and cables, as well as external electromagnetic interference to the LED advertising screen, ensuring stable operation.
3. Temperature Control Capability: Outdoor advertising screens generate heat during operation and are affected by factors such as solar radiation and air convection, resulting in significant temperature fluctuations. Depending on the regional temperature differences and the equipment's placement, appropriate temperature control solutions are required, such as air conditioning-type cooling or forced air cooling. Generally, products must meet the operating requirements of -30℃ to 55℃ and humidity 10% to 90% to ensure normal operation under various climatic conditions.
4. Manufacturer Qualifications and After-Sales Service
Manufacturer Qualifications: Choosing a manufacturer with professional qualifications and a good reputation ensures that product quality and performance meet standards. Professional manufacturers typically possess advanced production equipment and technology, enabling them to provide high-quality products and have advantages in product research and development and improvement.
After-Sales Service: Comprehensive after-sales service is crucial, including installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, and repair. Various problems may arise during the use of advertising screens. Timely and effective after-sales service can reduce the impact of malfunctions on use, lower maintenance costs, and extend the equipment's lifespan.
