However, outdoor video screens require higher brightness, typically between 3000 and 7000 cd/m², to cope with sunlight and greater viewing distances. Measuring the brightness of an LED display screen is not easy and usually requires specialized and expensive testing equipment, such as calculating it by measuring the luminous intensity of the light-emitting diodes (LEDs). For example, for an outdoor full-color LED display with 2500 dots/m², if the average luminous intensity of the red LEDs is 420 mcd, the green LEDs are 1620 mcd, and the blue LEDs are 285 mcd, then by calculating (2 x 420 + 1620 + 285) / 1000 * 2500, we can find that the brightness of this display is 6862.5 cd/m². Therefore, the brightness value of an LED display will vary depending on the model and specifications.
