What are the types of LED display screens?

LED rental screens are specially designed for stage performances, cultural events, and other scenarios. They are movable LED displays that can be rented out. Based on their structure and technical characteristics, they can be classified into the following main types:
LED Strip Screen
Features: Composed of strip-shaped unit panels, usually with a lightweight design for easy quick installation and disassembly, suitable for creating dynamic backgrounds or hanging effects.
Common specifications:
P10, P12.5, P18.75, P18SMD, P20.83, P25
The smaller the value, the higher the pixel density, and the more detailed the display effect (for example, P10 has a higher resolution than P25).
Application scenarios: stage background, hanging decorations, creating event atmosphere.
2. LED grid screen
Features: The unit panels are arranged in a grid pattern, with strong light transmission. They can be used in combination with lighting effects and are suitable for scenarios requiring a transparent appearance.
Common specifications:
P10, P12.5, P20, P30, P31.25, P37.5
The specification range is quite wide. Please choose according to the viewing distance (for example, for long-distance viewing, option P37.5 is available).
Application scenarios: Building curtain walls, large-scale performance backgrounds, creative light interactive installations.
3. LED Full-color Screen
Features: Supports full-color display, high color reproduction accuracy, suitable for close viewing and high-definition content playback.
Common specifications:
P4, P5, P6
The pixel pitch is relatively small (for example, the P4 pitch is 4mm), which is suitable for indoor or close-range scenarios.
Application scenarios: Press conferences, exhibitions, stadiums, theaters, multi-function halls and other places requiring high-definition display.
4. LED-COB Screen
Features: Utilizing COB (Chip on Board) packaging technology, chips are directly encapsulated on the PCB board, featuring high protection, resistance to bumps, good heat dissipation, etc., suitable for frequent disassembly and movement usage.
Common specifications:
P1.5, P1.875, P2.0, P2.5, P3.0
The pixel pitch is extremely small (for example, the P1.5 pitch is 1.5mm), resulting in a fine display effect, but the cost is relatively high.
Application scenarios: High-end stage rental, TV studio studios, meeting rooms, lecture halls, etc. These are all scenarios with extremely high requirements for picture quality.
Additional notes: Selection basis
Viewing distance: The smaller the pixel pitch (e.g. P1.5), the closer the viewing distance is suitable; the larger the pitch (e.g. P37.5), the longer the viewing distance is suitable.
Installation environment: For indoor scenarios, full-color screens or COB screens are preferred; for outdoor or scenarios requiring light transmission effects, grid screens or strip curtains can be selected.
Budget and requirements: COB screens have the best picture quality but are costly; strip curtains and grid screens have better cost-performance and are suitable for activities with limited budgets.
