1. LED Brightness: The brightness of a light-emitting diode is generally expressed in luminous intensity, the unit of which is candela (cd); 1000 ucd (microcandela) = 1 mcd (millicandela), 1000 mcd = 1 cd. The luminous intensity of a single LED for indoor use is generally 500 ucd-50 mcd, while the luminous intensity of a single LED for outdoor use should generally be 100 mcd-1000 mcd, or even more than 1000 mcd.

2. LED Pixel Module: LEDs are arranged in a matrix or segment and pre-fabricated into standard-sized modules. Commonly used modules for indoor displays include 8*8 pixel modules and 8-segment digital modules. Outdoor display pixel modules have specifications such as 4*4, 8*8, and 8*16 pixels. Because each pixel in outdoor display modules consists of more than two LED tubes, they are also called cluster modules.

3. Pixel and Pixel Diameter: Each individually controllable LED light-emitting unit (dot) in an LED display is called a pixel. The pixel diameter ∮ refers to the diameter of each pixel, in millimeters.

4. Resolution: The number of rows and columns of pixels in an LED display is called the resolution of the LED display. Resolution is the total number of pixels in the display, which determines the information capacity of a display screen.

5. Grayscale: Grayscale refers to the degree of brightness variation of the pixel's light emission. The grayscale of a single primary color generally has 8 to 12 levels. For example, if the grayscale of each primary color is 256 levels, for a dual-primary color display, the display color is 256 × 256 = 64K colors, also known as a 256-color display.

6. Dual Primary Colors: Most color LED displays today are dual-primary color displays, meaning each pixel has two LED chips: one red and one green. When the red chip is lit, the pixel is red; when the green chip is lit, the pixel is green; when both the red and green chips are lit simultaneously, the pixel is yellow. Red and green are called primary colors. 7. Full Color: Full color is achieved by combining red, green, and blue primary colors. Since the technology for blue and pure green LED chips is now mature, full-color displays are commonly used in the market.
