LED Screen Hardware Components (Core Display Unit)
1. Types:
Monochrome LED: Displays only a single color (such as red, green, or blue), commonly used for simple text or indicators.
Dual-color LED: Can display two colors (such as red + green), achieving intermediate colors like yellow and orange through mixing.
Full-color LED: Composed of red, green, and blue (RGB) LEDs, achieving full-color display through different brightness combinations.
Packaging Forms:
DIP (Dual In-line Package): Commonly used in the early stages, suitable for outdoor large-pitch displays, with strong waterproof and dustproof capabilities.
SMD (Surface Mount Device): Small size, high brightness, and wide viewing angle, suitable for indoor small-pitch high-definition displays.
COB (Chip on Board): LED chips are directly packaged on the PCB board, offering good heat dissipation and high pixel density, suitable for ultra-high-definition displays.
2. Driving Circuit (Controls LED On/Off)
Row Driver Chip: Controls the scanning of LED rows, usually using constant current driver chips (such as MBI5026, TB62726) to ensure stable current.
Column Driver Chip: Controls the brightness of LED columns, adjusting grayscale levels through PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology (e.g., 16-bit grayscale can display 65536 colors).
Power Management: Provides stable voltage for LEDs and driver chips, commonly using switching power supplies or constant current power supplies.
3. Control Card (Signal Processing and Transmission)
Sending Card: Receives signals from a computer or video source (such as HDMI, DVI, SDI), and converts them into a format recognizable by the LED display.
Receiving Card: Installed on the back of the display screen, it receives signals from the sending card and drives the corresponding LED beads in the display area.
Network Communication Module: Supports Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, or Ethernet for remote control and content updates.
4. Structural Frame and Cooling System
Cabinet/Frame: Made of aluminum alloy or sheet metal, protecting internal components and fixing LED modules.
Cooling Design: Reduces temperature through heat sinks, fans, or natural convection to ensure stable operation over long periods.
Protection Level: Outdoor screens require waterproof (IP65 or higher), dustproof, and lightning protection capabilities.
5. Power Supply and Wiring
Power Supply: Provides stable DC power (such as 5V, 12V), which must meet the total power requirements of the display screen. Cables: Including power cables and signal cables (such as network cables and ribbon cables), they must possess anti-interference capabilities.
