Based on their functions, LED display screens can be classified into four types: strip screens, graphic screens, video screens, and digital/hybrid screens.
1. Strip Screen Series
These displays are primarily used to display text. Input can be done via remote control or by connecting to a computer and sending information from the computer. They can operate offline. Because these screens are often made in a strip shape, they are called strip screens.
2. Graphic Screen Series
These displays are mainly used to display text and graphics, and generally do not have grayscale control. They receive information through communication with a computer. Compared to strip screens, the advantage of graphic screens is that they offer a wider variety of fonts and can display graphics. Compared to video screens, the biggest advantage of graphic screens is that one computer can control multiple screens, and they can display information offline.
3. Hybrid Screen Series
Digital screens are the most inexpensive type of LED display and are widely used for displaying stock market data in securities exchanges, bank exchange rates and interest rates, and various price lists. In most cases, a strip screen is added to the digital screen to display welcome messages, announcements, advertisements, etc. They support remote control input.
4. Video Screen Series
These displays have a one-to-one mapping relationship between screen pixels and the pixels of the control computer monitor. They have 256 levels of grayscale control, so their expressive capabilities are extremely rich. With a multimedia card, video screens can also play video signals. Video screens have good openness, with no restrictions on the operating system or software, and can reflect the computer monitor display in real time.
