LED Display Editing Software
LED display editing mainly uses two types of software: special software supporting LED screen manufacturers and general design + conversion tools. Different scenarios need to match corresponding software.
Mainstream Manufacturer-Supported Special Software (Most Commonly Used)
Such software is customized by LED screen manufacturers for their own hardware, with the best compatibility, and its functions cover the whole process from design to transmission:
NovaStar Series: Such as NovaLCT (control software) and NovaMCTRL (multi-screen splicing control), supporting full-color screens and rental screens, with functions such as brightness adjustment, fault detection and program timing, suitable for professional scenarios such as stages and advertising screens.
Leyard Series: Such as Leyard Control, focusing on high-definition display and intelligent management, supporting 4K/8K resolution, and often used in high-end conferences and radio and television fields.
Caleda Series: Such as the supporting software for X8 and X12 controllers, with simple operation, suitable for small and medium-sized screens (such as door head advertisements and indoor information screens), supporting program transmission via U disk/network.
Yangbang Technology Series: Such as the supporting software for BX-5U and BX-6U, with a favorable price and simple operation, widely used in community announcement screens and small commercial displays.
General Design + Conversion Tools (Supplementary)
For more flexible design effects, you can first create content with general software, and then adapt it to the LED screen through conversion tools:
Content Design Tools:
Photoshop (PS): Create high-definition pictures and dynamic text effects (need to export as sequence frames or videos);
After Effects (AE): Create complex animations and special effects (such as 3D transitions and dynamic backgrounds), export to MP4 and other formats;
PPT: Quickly create programs with text and charts, suitable for temporary information release.
Format Conversion Tools: Such as the format converter provided by LED screen manufacturers (e.g., Nova's video conversion tool), which converts the content exported from PS/AE/PPT into formats supported by LED screens (such as .bin and .led) to ensure smooth playback.
Core Principles for Software Selection
Hardware Matching: Prioritize the use of software supporting LED screen manufacturers to avoid compatibility issues (e.g., some unbranded screens cannot use general software);
Scenario Requirements: Choose high-end software such as NovaStar and Leyard for professional stage/advertising screens; choose entry-level software such as Caleda and Yangbang for small commercial displays;
Operation Difficulty: Caleda and Yangbang are recommended for beginners (with a concise interface), and NovaMCTRL can be selected by professionals (with powerful functions).
Notes
The software should be downloaded from the official website of the manufacturer to avoid pirated software or viruses from third-party channels;
Some high-end software needs to be equipped with a hardware dongle (e.g., NovaStar NovaLCT), otherwise it cannot be used normally;
After the program is created, it needs to be sent to the LED screen via U disk, network or controller. Before sending, confirm that the screen model matches the software.
