How to Build the Steel Structure for Outdoor LED Display Screens

To build the steel structure for the outdoor LED display screen, the first step is to fix the frame channel steel and angle steel. For the 6.3 channel steel and 50x50 angle steel, cut them according to the design requirements, drill holes with an electric drill, and enlarge them into M8 threaded holes. Drill M8 blind holes at the connection points of the channel steel and angle steel, and then connect the cut channel steel and angle steel together. The specific operation is to reverse the channel steel and place one in the middle of each two boxes. Then place two angle steel on top, with the front and back widths of the angle steel being the width of one box, and connect them with M8 screws. The other three sides are processed in the same way.
When assembling the framework, take two channel steels and place them on the already welded outer frame. Place the first step assembled channel steel and angle steel arrangement on top, leaving a certain distance on both sides. Weld the channel steels to the outer frame, and then weld the arrangement onto the channel steels. The welding methods for the other three sides are the same as the above two steps. Finally, assemble a framework that meets the standard size.
When installing the box body, start from the middle of the bottom layer and install the box body. Adjacent box bodies are fixed together using special cross connection pieces. After fixation, the X, Y, and Z directions of the entire display screen will automatically align. When installing the horizontal and vertical belts, first connect the two ends of the vertical belt with angle steel, and fix it with M8 bolts. Place the vertical belt on the channel steel of the bottom row, and fix it with a 1-meter-long bolt in the middle, and weld the two ends to the channel steel. Under the condition that the strength requirements are met, according to the maintenance requirements, weld a horizontal belt at an appropriate position.
When installing the signal lines, after the box installation is completed, connect each box together using the signal lines. The signal lines are flat 16-wire. When connecting, be sure not to connect them in reverse. When installing the power supply, determine the number of power supplies by using one power supply for every four characters. Then, drill holes on the back plate using an electric drill and fix them with M3.2 self-tapping screws. Finally, connect the 5V power supply to the box. Connect the 220V power lines of each power supply together using copper wires that meet the wire diameter requirements. Pay attention to protection and avoid short circuits.
When installing the control card, place the receiving card and the adapter card in the correct positions. Make sure the installation is firm and safe. When installing the system, install the computer and the sending card, and install the software required for controlling the large screen. During power-on debugging, check for errors and then power on, start the test software. Use the cross lines to cover the entire screen, check for uncontrolled points and associated points, and test them using horizontal lines, vertical lines, and diagonal lines. When the entire screen is lit up, check for blind spots and missing color points. For color screens, conduct color tests and check the gray scale levels.
After the outer frame is assembled, install the unit boards in the order from right to left and from bottom to top. The height and flatness of the unit boards can be adjusted by the disk nuts at the four corners. Install the power supply: Use a electric drill to drill a φ3.2 hole at the installation position of the power supply, and fix it with self-tapping screws. Connect the unit boards with P16 flat signal wires in the order from right to left. Connect the 5V power line of the power supply to the power socket of the unit board. Pay attention that the positive and negative poles of the power supply should not be connected reversely.
Installation of the display card and the sending card: Remove the computer case cover. Install the display card and sending card of the LED display according to the corresponding sockets, and fix them with screws. Connect the display card and the sending card with flat wires. Installation of the receiving card: Install the receiving card at an appropriate position on the right side of the LED display frame, and connect the power supply and the signal lines between the receiving card and the unit board. Connect the sending card and the receiving card with a Category 5 twisted pair (communication line).
Check if the switching power supply is short-circuited. Use the resistance (200Ω) function of the digital multimeter to measure the resistance value between the positive and negative terminals of the switching power supply output. The resistance value should be within the range of 30 to 40Ω. Unplug the power plug between the switching power supply and the unit board, apply 220V voltage to the switching power supply, and measure its voltage value to be +5V ± 0.2V. During the indoor display screen debugging, start the test software. Use the crosshair to cover the entire screen, check the uncontrollable points and associated points, and test them with horizontal lines, vertical lines, and diagonal lines respectively. When the entire screen is lit up, check for blind spots and color deficiency points. For the color screen, conduct color tests and check the gray scale levels.
