LCD video walls are constructed by placing liquid crystals between two parallel glass panes. Numerous fine vertical and horizontal wires connect the glass panes, controlling the orientation of rod-shaped crystal molecules by applying current, thus refracting light to create an image.

LED displays are a type of display that controls semiconductor light-emitting diodes (LEDs). They typically consist of many red LEDs, displaying characters by turning the lights on and off. They are used to display various information such as text, graphics, images, animations, market data, video, and recorded signals.

OLEDs, also known as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), are current-driven organic light-emitting devices. They emit light through the injection and recombination of charge carriers, with the luminous intensity proportional to the injected current. Under an electric field, holes generated at the anode and electrons at the cathode move and are injected into the hole transport layer and electron transport layer, respectively, migrating to the emissive layer. When these electrons meet in the emissive layer, they generate excitons, which excite the light-emitting molecules to produce visible light. Due to its superior characteristics, including self-illumination, no need for backlighting, high contrast, thinness, wide viewing angle, fast response speed, applicability to flexible panels, wide operating temperature range, and simpler construction and manufacturing process, OLED is considered a next-generation emerging application technology for flat panel displays.

Differences between OLED, LED, and LCD screens:

1. Color Gamut

OLED screens can display an infinite number of colors and are unaffected by backlighting. Their pixels have a significant advantage when displaying full black. Currently, the color gamut of LCD screens is between 72% and 92%, while that of LED screens is over 118%.

2. Price

LED screens of the same size are more expensive than LCD screens, and OLED screens are even more expensive.

3. Technological Maturity

Because LCD screens are a traditional type of display, their technological maturity is greater than that of OLED and LED screens.

4. Viewing Angle

OLED screens offer better viewing angles than both LED and LCD screens.

5. Splicing Effect

LED displays can be spliced ​​from small modules into a seamless large screen, while LCDs have small edges around their perimeter, resulting in small gaps when spliced ​​together.
