Before cutting LED strips, make sure the strips you purchased are cut. Otherwise, cutting them may render them unusable. Also, always remember to disconnect the power; cutting LED strips directly connected to a power source is extremely dangerous.
Generally, LED strips are categorized by voltage: 5V, 12V, and 24V.
5V means cutting one LED at a time.
12V means cutting three LEDs at a time.
24V means cutting six or seven LEDs at a time.
LED strips will have a black line and a scissors mark at the cutting point.
When cutting LED strips, it is crucial to cut only at the given cutting point. Cutting through or before the designated cutting point will result in the next section being non-conductive.
