Definition

Small-pitch LED displays refer to indoor LED displays with a pixel pitch of P2.5 or less, mainly including P2.5, P2.0, P1.8, and P1.5 LED display products. With the improvement of LED display manufacturing technology, the resolution of traditional LED displays has been significantly improved [1].

Small-pitch LED displays are a general term for a complete system, including the LED display system, high-definition display control system, and heat dissipation system. Small-pitch LED displays use pixel-level point control technology to achieve state control of the brightness, color reproduction, and uniformity of the display screen's pixel units. Automatic reflow soldering technology is used throughout the display screen production process, eliminating the need for manual post-soldering.

Display Advantages

The indoor high-end display market is dominated by DLP rear-projection displays, but DLP technology has inherent flaws. First, there is the unavoidable 1 mm gap between display units, which can swallow at least one display pixel. Secondly, its color performance is inferior to direct-emitting LED displays. Even more problematic is that due to the differences between DLP display units, it is difficult to control the uniformity of color and brightness across the entire display screen. As the product operating time increases, the differences between units will become larger, and the gaps will be difficult to maintain consistently and will become increasingly noticeable. Adjusting the color differences and gaps between units, even during later maintenance and repair, is a relatively difficult task.

Product Features

As the name suggests, the characteristic of small-pitch LEDs is their small pixel pitch and high resolution per unit area. They can display higher-definition graphics, images, and videos, and can also display multiple video and image streams. Especially in image splicing applications, they can achieve seamless and arbitrarily large-area splicing. Of course, to achieve ideal display effects, small-pitch LED displays require the assistance of a video processor.
