Whether it's a glass curtain wall LED transparent screen or a shop window LED transparent screen, both generally refer to rigid LED strip transparent screens. Besides the different application areas, what other differences exist between them? Firstly, in terms of construction, both consist of LED strips, LED panels, power supplies, and IC cards. Their display principles are the same, displaying images through the brightness and color changes of LED beads. However, they differ mainly in four aspects:

1. Difference in Shape

Glass curtain walls use engineering-grade LED transparent screens, requiring a stable structure. Generally, framed LED transparent screens are used. The advantage of this is that it is less prone to deformation during installation and fixing, has smaller gaps between joints, and higher precision, but the transparency will decrease by about 5%. However, using side-emitting products can compensate for this defect, improving transparency to some extent. Moreover, the effect is better when viewed at eye level or from below. Shop window LED transparent screens generally choose frameless LED transparent screens, which have a simpler structure and higher transparency.

2. Difference in Playback Accuracy: Glass curtain wall LED transparent screens use P10 and higher models because of their large screen area, generally exceeding 100 square meters; the viewing distance is also relatively far, usually over 15 meters, where the display effect is excellent; therefore, the requirement for image accuracy is not high. Shop window LED transparent screens are generally no more than 50 square meters in area, with a closer viewing distance, generally between 3 and 20 meters; therefore, higher image accuracy is required, and P3.91/7.81 models are usually recommended. Transparency is also important; too low a resolution will obscure the store's displays and affect indoor lighting. This is why frameless LED transparent screens are often used.

3. Difference in Brightness Requirements: Glass curtain wall LED transparent screens are for outdoor display. Brightness is typically required to reach around 4000 cd/s. If the installation environment faces direct sunlight or has very strong light, the brightness will need to be even higher to ensure the image is clearly visible during the day. Shop window LED transparent screens are usually installed in indoor or semi-outdoor environments. For indoor shopping mall windows, a brightness of 800-1600 cd/s is usually sufficient. For entrances, higher brightness is required, typically 1500-2500 cd/s.

4. Differences in Installation Methods: Glass curtain wall LED transparent screens are fixed in place using composite bolts or combination clamps to secure the cabinet frame to the glass curtain wall frame. Installed on the inside of the curtain wall, it displays outdoors. This method ensures it remains in place and does not move. Shop window LED transparent screens are typically installed using either hanging or fixed stacking methods. In the former, the screen is installed via hooks to the beams, with cabinets connected by quick-locks or connecting plates; in the latter, the cabinets are fixed to a frame using connecting plates. However, hanging is more common.

Glass curtain wall LED transparent screens and shop window LED transparent screens differ in application, appearance, playback accuracy, model, and installation method. However, they are both sub-categories of LED transparent screen products. Users should choose products based on their actual usage environment, viewing distance, and specific needs.
